I always love getting to go to new farmer's markets and today I got to do just that! Since I'm moving back over to my parent's side of town I wanted to make sure there was a farmer's market nearby for me to get veggies that I can't grow on my own. I'm in luck! There's one at the Leon Valley Community Center every single Wednesday from about 7:30am until they sell out. Whoo Hoo!
This definitely has to be one of my favorite new companies for 2010. If you're in the Austin or San Antonio area you HAVE to go to their website and check them out! If you care about supporting local farmers but are like me and forget what day of the week it is, what farmer's markets are where and what days certain farmer's markets are on, then this is a dream come true!
This weekend at the farmer's market I decided to try some fresh carrots. I've never had carrots that didn't come from a grocery store so I was excited to try some locally grown organic ones.
