Fitness Update
So I've been hitting it hard at the gym lately. I feel like I was starting to plateau, wasn't getting sore anymore after workouts, was reaching the "max speed" a lot on the eliptical torture device etc. A week or so ago I was at my parent's house, I don't know if I've mentioned this before but my dad has been doing P90X religiously for a few years now so he has a pull up bar, the push up stands and all that gear. So I tried doing a pull up to see if I was any closer to being able to do one. Nope. Next I tried some pushups on his new stands, got really far down but couldn't get back up! Needless to say, I was disappointed with my upper body strength.
I thought just using the pull up machine at the gym would be enough to build my arm strength but obviously it's not. So I've begun to incorporate lots of other upper body exercise in my routine and finally joined the boys over in the free weight section of the gym :) Today I was happy, already seeing gains in my strength! I was able to do 15 pounds for my curls and 10 pounds for my shoulder press things which is more weight than the last time I went. My arms are sore today and it's a good feeling, like an old friend sort of. I was also able to squat 135 pounds today, 3 sets of 10. Hoping to feel that in my butt tomorrow! Also I bumped the eliptical torture device up to level 3 for the first 10 minutes of my 30 min. workout.
I'm getting really serious now, I want to get ripped! Seriously, I want to look like I could model for a fitness magazine by the end of this year! I know how I need to get there and I know that 80% of that is diet so I'm making changes! No more carbs for me! I generally try to avoid them anyway, probably eat waaaay less carbs than the majority of americans because of my stomach issues, but they always creep their way in there, like when my sister offers me fresh baked cookies :) I should clarify here, by carbs I'm talking about bread, cereals, sugars, cakes, muffins etc. Processed complex carbs. I will allow myself all the fruit and veggies I want. I bought a body fat measurer thing on amazon today and will be taking measurements of myself too to keep track of my progress. Let's do this!!!!!
So now it's time for another update pic!

Hard to really see but so far I've seen the most progress in my legs and my face and I'm starting to see a little muscle definition in my arms. Guess that belly will be the last thing to go :) My fault for cheating on what I should be eating!
