A Year of Zuzana
Yeah, those definitely aren't my abs in that pic, not yet anyway!
This doesn't really have anything to do with making a stupid New Years resolution to get in shape, just so happens to be around the beginning of the new year but that's not why I've decided to do this. It's more because I'm finally finished with school, have a work-from-home job full time and will finally be moving into my own home at the end of January! Really being done with college plays the biggest part in freeing up more time for me to be able to keep a consistent work out schedule. This coming year I am making it my goal in place of going to school to get in shape. Not just lose a few pounds or whatever, I want to look like I could be on the cover of a fitness magazine!
I know I can do this, I've been so close in the past but I've always had something that came up or I quit before I reached my goal. Nothing is going to stop me now. I am making a pledge to do some form of exercise every single day this year, no matter if I'm living out of some one else's room for a few weeks while moving, my birthday, Christmas etc. I will fit in at least 15 minutes of exercise each day.
I am so excited about doing this! I've been pretty unhappy with my body this year. This year has been an exciting journey into the world of food and eating right. I've got the food thing down now. I know how to eat and what to eat. I've got the equipment I need to eat right like my juicer, dehydrator, ceramic knife :), spiralizer and I'll be buying a new blender very soon here so for now I'm using the food processor. Now it's time to complete the picture and start working out and pairing physical activity with a nearly perfect diet. I can't wait to see what the results of this lifestyle are going to be.
If you're wondering what diet I'm going to be following here it is:
Very limited animal products like fish, small amounts of cheese, and free range eggs. No other meat.
No cow's milk, only almond milk, coconut milk and other nut milks
90% raw fruits and veggies
oatmeal
honey, no white sugar
no processed foods
no flour, grains, pasta or other complex carbs besides the oatmeal
So it's sort of a mix between a gerson diet and a Specific Carbohydrate Diet. Absolutely no corn or pineapple though but that's a given for me :)
So about Zuzana...
I am SO inspired by her and her website. Seriously, just go to the homepage of her site at bodyrock.tv and look at her background pic for a few seconds. That's all it takes to inspire me to get off my arse and go do something! That is my goal figure and I know I most likely won't get there in just 1 year but I'm excited to see how close I can. I'm still not exactly sure how I'm going to do this but what I want to do is follow all of her workouts from her site from her first post in October of 2009 and do them in order each day of this coming year and see what my body look like this time next year! I'm thinking of making a calendar on this site with a link to the correct workout for each day so it'll be easy for me to come here and just click on the day's workout and go for it! Feel free to join me and post comments letting me know if you're doing it with me! It's always better to do stuff when you have to be accountable to some one! So wish me luck on this new journey of mine! I can't wait to start seeing the results!
